Stevens Model 311 Serial Number Location
Hey all. I'm working on a Stevens Model 311 double barrel as a project with my dad. I'm running into an issue with the handguard. Normally on a double barrel, to remove the hand guard you just take out a screw, and pry it off. It doesn't take much force on other double barrels I have worked with. However, on this 311, the hand guard almost feels like it has an additional layer of attachment that I can't see, and I'm afraid to pry at it to hard and break something. Anyone have any experience with this model? Thanks all.
